"I want you to become the expert on you." You are the expert on your own life, but sometimes life layers challenges that make it hard to see the way forward—anxiety that keeps you awake, the heavy weight of grief, or the lingering echoes of trauma. My name is June Pittman, and I founded Positive FX Counseling & Wellness because I believe that even in our darkest chapters, we have the innate capacity to create a 'positive effect' on our own mental well-being.
Based in West Palm Beach, I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) dedicated to helping adults and adolescents navigate the complexities of identity and loss. Have you been feeling stuck in your thoughts, in your relationships, or in life as a whole? Do you experience unmanageable stress or anxiety? Or do you experience what seems like a loop of intrusive thoughts, then repetitive behaviors or habits that lead you to believe that you may have OCD? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you don’t have to go this path alone. Together, we can begin a transformative journey, where treatment becomes your pathway to greater relief.
I believe that meaningful therapy begins with a genuine human connection. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique experiences and goals. Hello and welcome! I want to commend you on taking this step toward self-care. Our mental health is just as important as our physical health yet sometimes it takes a back seat. As a clinician for almost 20 years, I have spent my career helping clients achieve their mental health goals. I have had the privilege of working with all different walks of life from young children to adults helping them to uncover their strength through difficult moments of their lives.
Hi there! I am dual licensed in Florida as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT). I received my Masters from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida and have been practicing for 13 years. I tend to work with older adolescents and adults in living more authentic lives and being the best version of themselves. I am compassionate, but also honest and direct. I guarantee I will challenge you, but you will feel and know that it comes from a place of genuine care and a desire for you to live your best, most fulfilled, and healthiest life.
Having been on the other side of therapy, I understand the vulnerability and courage it takes to engage honestly and authentically in therapy to find the best version of yourself and create a better future. I strive to make therapy a safe place for you to express, experiment, feel and learn so you can find and love your true self. That is a large part of the reason I will be genuine, I will be compassionate, but I will also give tough love and complete honesty to help you reach your goals.
I enjoy working with individuals who are curious, open, and motivated for change; individuals who are willing to look deep within and challenge themselves. My clients are eager to elevate and align with their true potential and purpose, but may have blind spots with repeating patterns that no longer serve them. They often seek out fulfilling lives and relationships with others, but may lack insight in the challenges restricting them from reaching their full potential.
