I believe quality mental health care starts with feeling heard and respected. I take a collaborative, patient-centered approach and work to understand the whole person, not just symptoms. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space while offering thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric care tailored to each individual’s needs.
I am an LCSW Catholic Therapist with over 5 years of experience. I enjoy combining a faith-centered approach with EMDR, IFS, and somatic work. I've witnessed many patients find healing with this approach and look forward to continuing to help those in need! In IFS the ultimate healing happens when we can operate in Imago Dei, that is, being the image and likeness of Christ. In my practice, we will work towards unpacking what is getting in the way of that freedom.
Your experience with me will always be grounded in compassion, honesty, and respect. I believe people grow when they feel heard and understood, so I work hard to create a space where you feel safe being yourself. I am collaborative and down-to-earth, and I will meet you exactly where you are while helping you move toward the life you want.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). My decision to become a counselor comes from a genuine desire to contribute to the well-being of others. I have always been naturally curious and interested in understanding people, the experiences that shape us, the patterns we develop, and the ways we navigate both adversity and growth.
Mental health and psychology have also been part of my world for as long as I can remember. As the daughter of a mental health counselor, I grew up with an appreciation for the importance of mental health, human behavior, and the therapeutic process. Over time, that early exposure contributed to my own passion for helping others.
Like many people, I have experienced my own share of life’s challenges and difficult seasons. Those experiences have shaped my understanding of resilience and deepened my compassion for the complexities of being human. They have also taught me that healing is not always linear and that sometimes we need support to move through the experiences that leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from ourselves.
It is a privilege to support people through vulnerable and meaningful moments in their lives. I see my clients as a whole person with a unique history, strengths, challenges, and capacity for growth. My hope is that you leave therapy not only feeling understood and supported, but also more knowledgeable about yourself, equipped with practical tools, and empowered to move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and resilience.
Great to meet you. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I work to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported. My approach is warm, holistic, and open-minded, and I believe care works best when it is personalized to your needs, goals, and day-to-day reality.
I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, sleep concerns, OCD, panic, eating concerns, and anger or impulse-related challenges. Hi! I'm Dawn, and I'm excited to meet you. Life can feel overwhelming when anxiety, depression, family stress, relationship difficulties, or painful experiences leave you feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure where to turn next. You may be trying to balance the needs of everyone around you while struggling to care for yourself. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, stress, panic disorders, anger management concerns, infertility, chronic illness, women's issues, family conflict, and relationship challenges. My background in children and family services and my training in infant and early childhood mental health allow me to support individuals and families through life's many transitions. My goal is to provide a compassionate space where you feel safe, heard, and supported while we work together to better understand your experiences and create meaningful, lasting change.
I offer a kind, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can show up exactly as you are. Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, emotionally drained, or unsure how to move forward. You may be dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship issues, or simply the weight of trying to hold everything together on your own. My goal is to help you feel safe, heard, and supported as we work through what is weighing on you. Therapy with me is about creating a space where you do not have to have all the answers right away - just a willingness to begin.
As someone who was diagnosed as neurodivergent later in life, I bring an empathetic, compassionate understanding of the unique experiences that can come with neurodivergence, including autistic burnout and sensory overwhelm.
In our work together, we’ll explore the sources of overwhelm and identify practical, sustainable strategies that support your individual needs. Together, we’ll develop manageable goals around task initiation, organization, and navigating daily life in ways that feel realistic and affirming—not overwhelming.
The world isn’t always designed with neurodivergent people in mind, and you don’t have to navigate those challenges alone. My goal is to provide a supportive, understanding space where we can work together to better understand your needs, build on your strengths, and find ways to move through life that feel more sustainable and authentic to you.
