I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist in the State of Tennessee. I have over 17 years of experience in the mental health field. I have worked in community, residential, and juvenile justice settings. I am passionate about working with those struggling with mood and anxiety issues, trauma, and anyone trying to move toward a healthier life. I specialize in Trauma, OCD, and Play Therapy.
Children, adolescents, and the families navigating stress, anxiety, and big life changes alongside them have been at the center of my work for 20 years, from residential settings to nine years as a school counselor. I am Justin, an LICSW in Massachusetts, and I bring that practical, grounded experience to telehealth sessions for kids and adults alike. Reach out and let's see if we are a good fit.
I offer an environment of ease and attentive listening as a place to begin. Our work together will help you feel more grounded and less overwhelmed, so painful emotions can be met with understanding and long held patterns considered from new perspectives. Over time, you can expect to move through life with more self compassion and steadiness.
With more than 15 years of experience in office, hospital and hospice settings as a hospice chaplain, I have helped adults navigate grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, and crises of purpose and meaning.
I believe healing begins by recognizing the strengths you already have. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I take a person-centered, strength-based approach, helping clients heal from trauma, including generational trauma, navigate life's transitions, and build practical skills for lasting change. Along with working with individuals, I enjoy supporting couples and families, recognizing that lasting change often happens when the entire family system is strengthened. With three years of clinical experience and significant life experience, I strive to create a safe space where clients can quiet shame, build self-compassion, strengthen relationships, and move forward with confidence and hope.
I'm Paul KiYoung Song, a bilingual Korean American therapist based in Boston. I've
spent 8+ years working in mental health — from research to hospital outpatient
psychiatry at Boston Medical Center and Tufts Medicine — and I now work
exclusively via telehealth across Massachusetts. I'm native in both English and
Korean, and I have real personal experience navigating multiple cultures, having
lived and worked in the U.S., Korea, and Hong Kong. That background isn't just
context — it shapes how I listen, what I pick up on, and how I work with clients who are carrying the weight of dual-cultural expectations alongside everything else. I
specialize in anxiety, OCD, and depression. I accept Aetna, Cigna, and
Carelon, and I offer a sliding scale for those who qualify.

As a therapist at Compassion counseling, I believe in our mission to walk with people along their process of healing with compassion, encouragement and accountability.I specialize in depression, anxiety, and trauma informed treatment with a strength based lens. My compassionate care approach in supporting individuals in their healing, is informed by the many years of influencing maternal child health on a systematic level.

Want to make the most of your life, but something keeps getting in the way?
I work with thoughtful, high-energy adults who feel held back by patterns they can’t seem to break—whether that’s anxiety, addiction, trauma, self-criticism, relationship difficulties, depression, or persistent overthinking. Stop letting your lizard brain run the show.
Together, we’ll identify the emotional and behavioral patterns that no longer serve you, understand where they came from, and develop practical ways to move forward. My goal is not simply symptom reduction, but helping you create a life that feels meaningful, connected, and fully your own.
