Choosing a therapist can be difficult. I like to help my client feels empowered in an affirming environment to meet their needs and goals.
I graduated with a Masters degree from Northcentral University with the degree of Marriage and Family Therapy. I have been working with individuals, adults, and couples. Helping people get from point A to B and see the transforming impact in their lives is what drives me to be a therapist. I love to see people become aware of their own strength and power and rise from their challenges.

I am a licensed independent clinical social worker with extensive experience in trauma, grief and bereavement, hospice and palliative care, substance use, recovery, and major life transitions. I earned my Master of Social Work from Wheelock College, along with a Certificate in Medical Social Work, and later completed training in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy and Research through the California Institute of Integral Studies. Hello, I’m Jose — a board-certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. My background includes years of experience as a bedside nurse in inpatient medical-surgical and behavioral health settings, caring for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Through my training and practice, I’ve learned that every path to wellness is deeply personal. I’m passionate about collaborating with clients to understand their needs, build on their strengths, and take a motivational, compassionate approach to care.
I also recognize how difficult it can be to find LGBTQIA-affirming mental health support. My work is grounded in helping individuals release shame, embrace authenticity, and find balance through life’s challenges. Whether you’re navigating addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, or seeking affirming, identity-centered care, my goal is to support you in thriving and becoming your fullest self.
Are you having difficulty adjusting to a new environment, relationship, identity, or phase of life? Do you overanalyze social interactions or struggle to connect with others? As a queer-identified therapist, I am also dedicated to working with LGBTQ+ folks, and affirming of kink and ENM/polyamory as well.
Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. Beginning or continuing therapy can feel like a big step, and my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, validated, and genuinely understood.
