Top therapists in Pennsylvania accepting new patients
Welcome! I’m Emily, the founder and sole clinician at North of Now Therapy. I provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy for adults navigating anxiety, grief, infertility, and life transitions.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and hold a Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. I am licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Michigan.
Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of settings including schools, community mental health clinics, and private practice. These experiences have allowed me to support individuals from diverse backgrounds as they navigate complex emotional and psychological challenges.
I love what I do, and I know why I do it. Since 2007 my focus has been coming along side of people and assisting them with challenges they face in life to become the most authentic and genuine person they were meant to be. In my own journey I've come to accept and appreciate the gifts I've been given, even if they're seemingly unrelated. I love my work as a therapist and I will always be passionate about performing music. How the two coexist within me is the journey I'm on. My focus has been in becoming a better therapist each day ... but I also know I'll never stop playing guitar and performing music, it's part of who I am.
My name is Angela Dobrzynski (doh-BRIN-skee), and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania, with over 19 years of experience in supporting adults as they navigate stress, anxiety, and periods of feeling stuck. I specialize in helping clients to identify obstacles and co-create actionable solutions, drawing from cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused techniques to foster meaningful growth and change.
Licensed clinical psychologist working with adults via telehealth with specialization in trauma
I graduated from Lehigh University with a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology. I provide individual psychotherapy sessions to adults (ages 24+) to address a range of issues. These include, but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship issues.
I believe healing is possible when people feel truly seen, heard, and understood. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Trauma Therapist with over 20 years of experience, I provide a compassionate, evidence-based approach to help individuals move beyond survival and reconnect with themselves. My work integrates the science of the brain and nervous system with practical, whole-person strategies that support lasting emotional healing.
I specialize in helping people recover from trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and the emotional impact of serious illness, injury, or surgery. Rather than treating symptoms alone, I work collaboratively with clients to understand the root causes of their struggles while building resilience, emotional regulation, and self-compassion.
I have 25 years of experience working in-patient and out-patient treatment. I have worked with individuals with general mood disorders and addiction. I also use group therapy to connect others with similar issues to enable connections that the clients may not otherwise have. I believe that my clients prefer the warm, comfortable style that I use.
