Hi, I'm Candice Herrera, Licensed ProfessionalCounselor and owner of Artesian Counseling Group, PLLC. I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Wayland Baptist University and have been practicing therapy for the past four years.
I specialize in working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and emotional overwhelm. Much of my work centers around helping clients recognize and heal from generational trauma—the patterns, beliefs, and survival strategies that are often passed down through families without anyone intending to.
As a therapist, I understand that many people, especially millennials and people of color, have spentyears carrying responsibilities, expectations, or emotional burdens that were never truly theirs to hold. You may be the one who always has it together, the cycle breaker in your family, or the person everyonedepends on while quietly struggling yourself. Therapy offers a space where you don't have to carry thatweight alone.
I strive to create a space where you feel seen, respected, and accepted exactly as you are. My goal is to help you reconnect with yourself, heal from what's been weighing you down, and build a life that reflects who you are, not just who you've had to be.

My goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable being yourself while we work together to better understand what’s getting in the way and identify meaningful steps forward. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, burnout, and the emotional weight that can come from being the dependable one for everyone else or holding yourself to incredibly high standards.
