Hi! I'm Natasha, a BIPOC therapist, Latinx female, licensed clinical social worker, and mental health practitioner of over 20 years. Over the years I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, individuals, families, and couples. I began my career working in the hospital setting, where I supported individuals and families facing chronic illness, grief and loss. After five years in the hospital setting, I transitioned to the clinical setting, where I developed a therapeutic, whole-person approach to wellness. The modalities I incorporate into my practice include cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and solution-focused therapies combined with a holistic, authentic, DEI and trauma-informed approach.
I am currently accepting new clients. Life can feel loud, confusing, or just plain heavy, and you do not have to sort through it alone. I work with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, mood changes, personality-related struggles, and big emotions. Whether you are looking for support for your child or for yourself, our work can help you feel more understood, more steady, and better equipped for everyday life.
I'm Lina, and I'm passionate about empowering individuals on their journey to healing and growth. I grew up on the South Side of Chicago, and that experience shapes everything about how I approach this work. I founded Accepting Psychology with a clear mission: to deliver dedicated, rigorous care to people who are too often underserved. I'm a licensed psychologist with over a decade of experience across hospital and clinical settings, and I specialize in helping adults navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, and the specific challenges that come with men's mental health and major life transitions. I understand that taking the first step toward therapy can feel vulnerable, and I'm here to provide a secure, affirming space where you can move at whatever pace feels right.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with nearly two decades of experience, I provide therapy that is both clinically grounded and deeply human. My practice integrates Trauma‐Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, early childhood psychotherapy, and perinatal mental health frameworks to support individuals and families through complex emotional and relational challenges
As a member of the mental health profession, I am deeply humbled to be invited to share in the experiences of those who have struggled, it is a calling which I do not take lightly and strive to develop hope in all those I come in contact with. I have worked with families, children, adults and couples in community mental health, hospital and group private practice settings. I have experience working with those who struggle with complex trauma, mood disorders, transitions and interpersonal relationships.
