There is a kind of hurt that does not just go away with time. It settles in, shapes how you move through the world, and starts to feel like just who you are now. I work with adults navigating trauma, relationship wounds, PTSD, ADHD, and stress that never seems to fully let up. I let you lead. You are the expert on your own life, and I show up as my full self to meet you there: honest, direct, and genuinely invested in the work. Clients often tell me they feel a real sense of connection early in our sessions, and that matters a lot to me.
My name is Rosa, but everyone calls me Rosie. I am a bilingual English and Spanish-speaking Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I’ve been a nurse since 2007, and working in mental health has always been my passion and a source of dedication. I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your journey to healing. You don’t have to face these challenges alone. Healing is possible, and you are not alone. I earned my Master’s degree with honors from West Coast University. I take pride in helping my patients develop personalized plans to improve their well-being and successfully adjust to life changes. My approach is rooted in patience, empathy, and respect.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my dog, Yoshi, who is full of personality and love. I’m passionate about traveling for pleasure and for work with Liga International Flying Doctors of Mercy. I love connecting with nature and those in need, which helps me stay grounded and balanced.
My goal is to empower people to look at the bigger picture of what is possible for them.

From there, she has worked in a variety of settings, including group homes, mental health hospitals, and inpatient/outpatient centers, providing therapy in both individual and group services. Concurrently in 2010, as a case manager for a California regional center, she worked closely with both children and adults diagnosed with intellectual disabilities such as Autism and mental health disorders such as Anxiety. Jamila is a wife, and mother of 4, and lives her life in service through multiple vehicles of community advocacy, impact, and philanthropy. Outside of her community work, Jamila enjoys traveling, learning, making memories, exercising (gym, yoga, hiking) reading, meditating, crystal healing work, trying out new foods, and spending quality time with friends and family.

I use an integrative approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy to help clients understand both present challenges and underlying patterns. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship concerns, and life transitions, helping them build insight alongside practical tools for lasting change.
Outside of my work as a therapist, I value staying active and maintaining a strong mind-body connection.
