I have been working in the mental health field for over 9 years and have worked in different levels of care such as inpatient psychiatric, outpatient clinics and individual therapy.

I’m a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in helping children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigate anxiety, depression, panic, trauma, PTSD, and other life stressors. With experience in psychiatric crisis care and community outreach, I believe healing starts with feeling safe enough to show up. My name is Dion Davis, originally from Santa Barbara County. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has a thriving private practice in downtown Los Angeles. I have worked with diverse populations, such as survivors of trauma and abuse, blended families, foster parents, couples (dating, engaged, and married), adults with substance/sex addiction, mood disorders, and older adults/seniors. My communication style is empathetic, incorporating positive language and active listening.
I have had over ten years of training in a variety of somatic therapy approaches. I received my BA in Anthropology at the University of Georgia, and a MA in Counseling Psychotherapy from California Institute of Integral Studies. I've published and presented internationally on themes of embodiment, culture, ancestral memory, and gender. My research on embodiment and culture was published in in the volume Moveable Gardens: Itineraries and Sanctuaries of Remembrance in 2021.
