As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP‐BC) with Radiance Psychiatry and Wellness, I take a whole‐person approach to mental health care. I recognize that emotional well‐being is shaped by many factors — physical health, stress, relationships, and life experiences — and I work with clients to address each of these areas.
I have experience supporting individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, and life transitions. My approach blends medication management with supportive therapy, patient education, and lifestyle‐based strategies. I strive to create a welcoming, culturally sensitive space where clients feel empowered, understood, and supported.
My goal is to help you build resilience, gain insight, and move toward a healthier, more balanced life.
Hi, I'm Dr. Ruma Mian, a board-certified psychiatrist and founder of Texas Triangle Adult Psychiatry. I believe every person is unique, and the best care begins by understanding your individual story. I have a diverse background in helping individuals struggling with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, insomnia and other mental health conditions that may be distressing in my experience as a general psychiatrist. I help individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, and may be struggling to find balance and transform turning points into new beginnings.
In addition to running a private practice, I am also an Attending and Assistant Professor of Medicine at a local hospital in the Houston area. I completed my residency at the Carilion Clinic Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.
Outside of my practice as a doctor, my hobbies include enjoying the beautiful outdoors and riding my bike on a new trail.
My goal as a professional counselor is to build a warm, open, authentic, non-judgmental partnership with my clients. My counseling experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults. I have worked with residential treatment facilities, Mental Health and Mental Retardation Organizations (MHMR), and as a professional K-12 school counselor in public schools. I also have experience teaching counseling and counseling education post-secondary courses.
I have been in the field of psychotherapy since 2013 and have been practice as a licensed mental health counselor since 2020. I follow a holistic approach and gravitate toward solution focused and positive psychology.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I believe placing mental health first is fundamental to achieving happiness and balance in life. Reaching out for support can be incredibly difficult, you deserve recognition for the real strength required to ask for help. I’ve been practicing since 2022, focusing on adults navigating life’s mental health struggles, with a concentration on grief, anxiety, self esteem, and relational issues.
